Cal Alley

Cal Alley, Kansas City Journal, Nashville Banner (1915-1970) Grew up in Memphis, TN, studied art the American Academy of Fine Arts in Chicago and the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts. Became the editorial cartoonist for the Kansas City Journal and later for the Nashville Banner before moving back home to Memphis, where he was the cartoonist for the Commercial Appeal until his death in 1970.
