Grover Page

Grover Page, Louisville Courier Journal ( 1892 – 1958) Borne in Gastonia, NC and named for Grover Cleveland, Page decided at age 10 to become an artist. He studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts, then went to work for the Baltimore Sun as an editorial cartoonist.  He moved on to the  Louisville Courier-Journal and spent 39 years there drawing pointed and strongly opinionated cartoons.
